Welcome to 2024 and wow, where did term 1 go? The good news is, with term 1 done and dusted, it is time to announce our winners of our term 1 ‘Addicted’ comp. We received a record total of entries for term 1, so thanks so much for your support, the only downside being it makes judging even more challenging with so many great entries from all over this big brown land of ours.

Our Term 4, 2023 ‘Magic’ comp is now open…

We are super excited to announce our theme for our Term 4, 2023 competition *drumroll* and the theme is…Magic. Do you believe in Magic? Are you a follower of the Dark Arts or do you follow the White Light? Can Magic be a force for good or evil or both? What kind of Magic have you experienced? What does Magic mean to you? So many questions? So many great ways to interpret this theme, so get cracking with your stories, we can’t wait to read them and celebrate your creativity. And for all our Frankston District and Mornington Peninsula Secondary Schools – Mornington Peninsula News Group has kindly offered to publish the best local writer’s entry for each term as part of the Little Stories Big Ideas comp. What a great opportunity to be a PUBLISHED writer! The winner will also appear in the Mornington Peninsula News along with their story. Be the pride of your school.

Our Term 3, 2023 ‘Voice’ comp is now open…

We are super excited to announce our theme for our Term 3, 2023 competition *drumroll* and the theme is…Voice. Is your voice being heard? Are you the voice? Are there voices that should be heard but are not? So many questions? So many great ways to interpret this theme, so get cracking with your stories, we can’t wait to read them and celebrate your creativity. And for all our Frankston District and Mornington Peninsula Secondary Schools – Mornington Peninsula News Group has kindly offered to publish the best local writer’s entry for each term as part of the Little Stories Big Ideas comp. What a great opportunity to be a PUBLISHED writer! The winner will also appear in the Mornington Peninsula News along with their story. Be the pride of your school.

A HUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE Congrats to our Term 1 ‘Love’ Competition Winners. You guys make it so difficult for us to choose winning entries but choose we must. So, to the following fantastic writers, well done, we are proud of you and hope your school, family and friends are as well. To all of you who entered, we are proud of you too. Just because your story was not selected as a winner does not make it any less special, it will find its audience.
